How Do I order a Murphy Wall Bed?
First, choose a size frame you need, second, you can use your own
standard size mattress, or purchase one locally.
Do I need a cabinet?
No! you can place your Murphy Wall Bed in an existing cupboard or
you can design a custom opening. The keen Do It Yourself customer
may want to build their own cabinet, materials for building your
own cabinet can be obtained from any major DIY outlet store in the
UK, the minimum dimensions are to be seen by clicking on the 'prices'
button on the home page. We can also supply any of our customers
needs by importing direct from the USA. See our parent company's

Can I use any Mattress?
Yes! this is one of the cost saving advantages of our Murphy Bed
frame. As long as you have a standard size mattress it will fit
with the corresponding size frame you choose. For information:-
for normal mattress thickness the depth of cabinet is 15" but
for thicker mattresses 18" may be required.
What is the best priced unit you offer?
Our frames are competitively priced, we want everyone to be able
to afford a quality Murphy Wall Bed. We also include a foundation
in that price. (a foundation is a 2" thick box sprung base
that fits below the mattress).
How does a Murphy Wall Bed work?
SIMPLE! This is a counter-balanced spring mechanism, bolted to your
floor safely. You simply pull the bed down and lift it back up.
It's so light you won't believe it.
Is a Murphy Wall Bed safe?
Our Murphy Wall Bed frame bolts to the floor, not to the cabinet
or to the wall. This is the safest means of installation and we
believe it is the safest wall bed on the market today. However
this is not a toy and care should be taken.
How soon can I get my Murphy Wall Bed delivered?
For Murphy Wall Bed frames, our average turn time from order to
shipment is four weeks from the date payment is received, however
we do hold a small stock. No shipments are guaranteed for under
eight weeks due to unforeseen problems. Cabinetry is custom made
to order in the USA and can take eight or ten weeks to produce.
What tools are required to put my Murphy Wall
Bed together?
A power drill with a 5/16" masonry bit for concrete floors
or a 5/16" spanner for mounting into wooden floors. A flat
screwdriver and a pair of pliers also required.
How are Murphy Wall Beds shipped?
Your Murphy Wall Bed frame will come in two boxes with all the hardware
included. You will also receive a foundation with the frame, this
will be in a large box, depending on the size of bed you ordered.
All cabinetry is shipped flat and crated for extra protection. There
is a crating fee on all cabinet shipments from the USA. in addition
to the cost of import.
Home delivery charges can be seen on the 'prices'
page, in order to save money you can pick up the product yourself
at Murphy Wall Beds UK.
Remember that the truck driver does
not deliver into your home, be prepared to have someone there to
assist you, also check the paper-work and for any damage that may
have occurred. All freight claims must be made to the carrier. Murphy
